Thankfully nobody was hurt in the fire at the #COP30 climate talks.

But now with reduced space, they could continue without the 1,600 Big Oil lobbyists that showed up?

The discussion on fossil fuel phaseout might be more fruitful.

The National Party collapsed the EV import market by cancelling the Clean Car Discount and now finds that there aren't enough EVs being imported to meet demand.

Imagine that.

Incredible.

The car-cult just wants more, bigger roads but what we really need is more public transport, more protected bike lanes, safer streets and better choices in towns and cities that are designed for people, not cars.

Greenpeace didn’t ‘automate’ anything. We (and others) just alerted people to the danger of Seymour’s attempt to cede control to corporate interests and made it easier to speak up against it.

Joyce Carol Oats dragging Elon so hard on his own platform is 🔥

She didn’t name names, and Elon’s reaction shows she didn’t need to.

“What this nation needs as we build bundles of big beautiful roads is not another round of hand-wringing, airy-fairy woke utopianism. We need a sensible, boots-on-the-deck approach to securing our energy future. And yes, harvesting the noble whale for its bountiful oil is the common-sense solution.🧵

We can't just keep replacing cars with cars.

Great things happen in a city when you reclaim space taken by roads and cars to set people free!

Amsterdam and Paris weren't always havens for cyclists and pedestrians.

It just took some vision and leadership:

Your high power bills are a political choice.

"We’re Digging Deeper to Make Your Power Bill Steeper!" is a literal description of how the Luxon Government and the Big Four power companies are colluding to keep you paying more.

Why is Labour leading with comms about the Medicard card? It’s a distraction and too easily reframed with big brother conspiracies.

Just say

Everyone will get free doctor visits paid for by making sure those profiting from property pay their fair share.

Look what happens when you build protected bike lanes!

Instead of spending billions on new roads, the govt should build more protected bike lanes!

It’s ironic that this happens the day after the Luxon Govt announced it will make the climate crisis worse by letting the dairy industry off the hook for its superheating methane emissions.

🚨16,000 more dairy cows approved for Canterbury🚨

That's a LOT more urine leaching down into groundwater, cow shit running off into rivers and methane driving the #climatecrisis.

It means more polluted rivers and dangerous nitrate contamination of drinking water for rural families.

🐳 We did it! ✊

With 60 ratifications, the Global Ocean Treaty will now enter into force.

A huge milestone and testament to our global people-powered movement. When we come together, we win.

NOW: on to creating high seas sanctuaries!
