I sit between ideas, products, and disciplines to find an answer that most would not.
I took a future awkward family photo of the cat children for later in their lives.

it is time for a pie for the season. I’m sad I’m old now and can’t eat the whole damn thing anymore.

George loves his puzzles (and maybe we indulge him too much but he loves them!).

We’ve never had this energetic or intelligent a cat as George. We spent a lot of time training him to do some tricks, we hide things around the house, and he loves socializing kittens. Maybe we’ll start fostering soon

Every year, the benches try and organize to remain free in the winter but every year they are corralled into subjugation.

It is, once again, time to remember when fast food restaurants sometimes had weird holiday things worth buying.

George here requires a lot of play and stimulation as he is anxiety cat. He cries for a while after one of us leaves and clings to us when we get home.

We buy him puzzles but he’s so good at them they only last a few minutes. Just got him this one. that disc is confusing him so much!

Love it.

It’s #wargames Friday. Playing some Red Dust Rebellion today to get a look at the Curiosity System.

Also want to start some Five Leagues to the Borderlands but going to be tough given I also want to touch on Starship Troopers and Battle of the Bulge.

It might be time to nap a bit today. The cats seem to be telling me to make this happen.

Every semester, i've tried to work the 4-day time cube into a talk and i've found a place to put it in next week about overthinking design.

This should be a fun talk to write.

Picked these two #dnd products tonight. It’s neat to see Hobbits still a playable race. Curious how the reprint in 79 of Wizard’s Aide didnt shift it.

These have me thinking about #wargames and “regional dialects” of wargaming. Strategos and Stratagos N, Kriegspiel, all the variants.

I went on a 5 year hunt that ended last year for a toy my grandma bought for me because M.A.S.K. Wasn’t in stock anymore.

This little yellow cube guy was a friend to all my M.A.S.K. toys.

So Kristen recently finished her first ultra marathon. 50 miles around Canandaigua Lake.

It was absolutely inspiring to see her really run through the buildup of trauma over the last 3 years of us being in Rochester.

Transformative.

Jeff has really grown up so fast. She’s deciding that cuddles and chilling in windows owns.

(it does)

When what a person says and what a person believes that person meant is in disagreement, some believe the fault is the listeners. Then power gets in the way of negotiation.

I think a lot about Alphonso Lingis during these times.

That design and communication share this issue is a feature.

Robinson Crusoe & Friday, the Other Island form the foundation of my work. It is always there

On the one hand, re-establishing modernity in the midst of disaster is seen as heroic and wanted.

On the other, it is a prison we must learn to escape when disaster allows us to see outside of culture.
