Gotcha. I think the dB drop from SONG and click in should be large enough to allow you us the "silence_threshold" to set the dB higher than the click and lower than song volume.

Yea, we don't count in every song AND I wanted to avoid using AI to keep it simple. As is dB thresholds work really well for my use case.

Came here to say this.

I lost a bet to my cousins in 2004 and had to a drive up to Boston and walk around in my Bernie Jersey the day after those who shall not be mentioned took us out in the ALCS. It was the friendliest a Sox fan has ever been to me TBH.

I dunno, Yanks weaknesses (defense, base running, bullpen, over reliance on HRs) are not playoff friendly.

This year my hopes are to out last the Sox so I don't have to hear about it from by Masshole drummer. (I deserve it for the all the shit talking I did after the Knicks bounced the Celtics).

Watching the game? You were calling this out a few weeks ago

Right! I love Boone as a player and a hilarious human, but we need someone who can inspire the team to do all the small things. We really haven’t had that in a coach since Buck Showalter. Jeter/Posada filled that role during the Torre years.

It’s really not our year. Lost in the Grapefruit League when Boone decided to be lax on base running and defense.

2 runs with Rodon on the mound is something.

The author of that Reddit post almost had it right. But I have to say you don’t start with a technical design, you start with defining a problem and weighing if it’s worth solving.

I can tell you the my Mrs., who is very outwardly “normal”, seems to always be juggling 3 or 4 tasks all at once and cruises through the day. One task finishes and she just some other thing just jumps right into her list. It never ends but she keeps the train moving.

Karen, if you're not in a meeting you're not working. We all know this. /s

Maybe AWS should pay employees to contribute to it.

Fair. I was referring the mathematical reasoning used to determine the response to a prompt (as opposed to AGI) and how solving a coding problem is likely more in line with what an LLM is vs solving for unique thought problems.
August 12, 2025 at 7:14 PM
I'm putting that in my annual review.

Do I personally think LLMs are good for humanity. Leaning no. Is gemini on par or better than it's competition. Yes. There are tests that confirm all of those speeds and feeds.
