The original of one of Priscilla Coleman’s excellent court sketches of the recent McLaren v Palou case - featuring me examining in chief my client, IndyCar champion Alex Palou. What amazed me was not only the detail that goes into these but the side. Its enormous!

Over the last few days I’ve been wearing a new addition to my watch collection: the Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Limited Edition “Motoring” - Seiko’s nod to the early days of the Daytona era. It’s solar powered, looks great & is a tiny tiny fraction of the price of the Rolex.

It was so good to get back to art class today - ashamed to say the first time I’ve managed to do a class on the whole of this year. But better late than never, and I plan a few more in December & January plus intensive course in Italy in Spring.

Was lovely to catch up for coffee again this morning with Tracey Crouch - former Sports Minister & of course Chair of the Crouch Report that has led to the independent football regulator - one of the most significant developments in sports regulation in my life time.

With negatives and Black & White Photography magazine, August 2025.
Although not yet finished with the Contax/Yashicas I needed to test this newly acquired classic Olympus OM1-n before moving on the Olympus after the C/Ys were all done.
Such a solid well made camera…

Offaly good!
Made pasta with offal last week, with pig’s heart, lamb’s kidney & chicken livers - a little pancetta, sofrito, red wile & tomato too.
I know offal isn’t very popular in England - well southern England at least - perhaps due to my Italian (and maybe Yorkshire) heritage, I love it.

Offaly good!
