Doesn’t get any weirder than finding a Yellow-breasted Chat in someone’s back patio condo tree. It then flew down into another tiny condo back patio. Wild place for one of these skulky birds. First Meadow Park record here in SLO County. 🥹🪶🐥

Virg, the tailless Virginia's Warbler takes a bath and gives a tink call before getting in a tussle with a Black Phoebe. I really thought Virg was a goner, but he gave the phoebe the slip and hid in a bush. 🪶
