Trump shared the racist video at a quarter to 12 at night and they're now trying to say it was a staff member. Sure.

I like the idea of preventing people like Zuckerberg & Musk from influencing & profiting from children but how can age verification be done without giving similar villains (or the same ones) access to our passports & biometric data? Perhaps Tim Berners-Lee's Solid project or similar is needed 1st.

It was obvious someone was going to be killed by an illegal motorised bike as they aren't policed and have been getting increasingly worse.

Knee jerk restrictions on legal ebike users won't achieve anything and don't make up for years of policing failures

I don't see why it should be a legal requirement to have a hi-vis vest on an electric cargo bike with built in lights.

A reactionary proposal which will hopefully die before it is introduced.

How about high vis cars? They should be covered in warning labels like cigarette packets: "Driving Kills"

Jimmy Carr, the rape joke comedian, trying to reinvent himself as a public intellectual for the Reform era is embarrassing.

Meta makes $16billion a year from scam advertising according to its own reports. They identify scam ads and charge a higher rate.

Sounds like organised crime to me.

There's been virtually no innovation in social media for 10 years. The only significant difference between platforms is the level of restrictions that social media companies apply to what you can do and what you see. They should be forced to use a single interoperable standard (like email does). x

The Independent (UK) is turning words in news articles into ads. Here the word "women" in an article on Epstein has been used for an ad... WTF

Using this as a use case to advertise chatGPT is pathetic.

USA or Iran?
January 29, 2026 at 9:24 AM
We've been so focused on the collapse of the US that we're not talking about what we're going to do when the UK collapses.

This is a mainstream newspaper in the UK in 2025. 15 minute cities are "Stalinist"?

When "Communist" is no longer enough.

TikTok's censorship is the latest evidence that we need to force platforms to provide the same kind of interoperability we demand from our phone service providers.

We need to take the Internet back from the oligarchs who want to control what we see and who we can reach.

Why is Tony Blair obsessed with Middle East?

Is it because he just can't accept he was wrong to invade Iraq?
