Actually no. While Newsom sucks (PG&E's dick), this is a complaint about the California Jungle Primary system.
The system makes it so the primary is a huge list of all the candidates from all the parties and the top two go on to the general.
It has issues.

Whenever I get jury duty (seems pretty often) there is this big board at the front of the waiting room that says that today there are something like 140 cases scheduled.
