Spent the year watching the Simplefascist dictatorship I've feared since 2002 come to fruition, doing everything on 14 songs for my album, reading fiction again, deciding I'm allowed to relax and have fun, being overjoyed I left Texas and distraught that I left my mother's recipes there.

I just don't like that the crown logo they use for the No Kings protests is Basquiat's crown. He used that image to reclaim some dignity and power for his marginalized community.

It causes me some cognitive dissonance to see that crown with a red X through it as a good thing, I guess.

Their new record You're Weird Now is a finely honed distillation of their sounds thus far and is rad.

The vocal delivery on the verse of the song Panglossian Mannequin makes me happy.
