honestly struggling to see much point to using any social media ATM. could be a positive for me obvs but it's weird. they've all just gotten too impersonal whilst also inviting incredibly mean strangers to attack your most personal things. strange places. I watch from afar for now

sometimes I think I'm experiencing dissociative amnesia because people are like "hello Newt how are you" and I'm like who the fuck are you but I think it's actually just autism and face blindness.... you are in a different outfit to the first time I met you so idk who you are anymore

in like 2017/18 I had some friends who had 2 IKEA soft toy dogs. I'd always snuggle them at house parties and I was obsessed so I bought one a few years back. now I volunteer in a children's charity shop. there are THREE baby versions that've come in and I've subsequently bought

as I hope is indicated by previous reposts I am not interested in being friends/mutuals w anyone who doesn't prioritise Black ppl and POC. I have no interest being in community w people who prioritise whiteness. this is not a debatable point

Wanna make a clarification here: Black trans folks generally cannot safely trust the white trans community as a whole. Individual members may be safe and put the work in, but the community, as a whole, will *always* prioritize solidarity in whiteness over solidarity in transness.
And because of how overwhelmingly white the larger trans community is (not just on Bluesky, everywhere) a lot of Black trans folks will engage with it, go “oh this shit too white for me to have community here”, and become further isolated because there never becomes enough of us to make community.

truly so impressed at how this site is handling the influx of new people and posts. even with the glitchiness. when u consider that twitter, one of the biggest social medias, is literally ddos-ing itself on purpose it makes it feel pretty impressive
