As well as highlighting specialist support services for sexual violence, Sexual Violence Awareness Week is about championing the voices of those with lived experiences, so fellow survivors can know they're not alone; a better life, better relationships and a compassion for yourself is possible.

A SARC is where you can get immediate support after an experience of sexual violence. This could include facilitating an interview with the police, a forensic medical exam with a trained doctor or first aid and aftercare.
