It’s somewhat amazing that you regularly get into arguments with dozens (hundreds?) of random people over such a wide range of topics. Definition of fascism last week, airplane travel this week, …

But that third act still puts it into top spot (when compared against other Star Wars movies).

To me Rogue one and Andor have very similar themes. Honestly, Rogue one is the only Star Wars movie I’ve left feeling, wow that was an amazing movie. The ending is so simultaneously sad and beautiful. Granted I was too young to see the original three in the theater.

Storyline, characters, acting, cinematography, emotions it evokes in me. It’s all the same reasons I enjoyed Andor. To me it’s very different than all the other Star Wars movies.

I could definitely agree to that!

I will forever argue Rogue one is the best of all of them. I will take Andor as proof of this assertion.

But only civility as an outward superficial visual appearance. Only people who can afford posh wardrobes are “civil”.

I preferred Season 1 to Season 2. But I am a sucker for action movies!

Oh! Thanks for the reminder that Landman is back. Off to watch S2E2. What did you think of Lioness?

Thanks! Makes more sense now!

A bachelors of science in nursing or PhD in physical therapy would be ineligible for federal loans?

Eh, she’s been on this crazy loop for a while.

For the record, I only know this from a Qanon anonymous episode. Listening to that episode was painful because the outakes of Candance going over her theory of Macron’s wife being a secret trans woman were so insane and transphobic.

Wasn’t Boebert married and had kids with a guy on the sex offender registry in CO for something related to kids. Don’t remember details and don’t want to google it. I figure Boebert cares more about using Epstein files to go after political enemies than is upset at what Epstein did.

The coalitions that make up red/blue have also morphed a lot. Are there any Rockefeller Republicans or blue dog Democrats left? In some ways I’d argue the parties themselves have changed more than the people of MA or VT have changed.

It will really screw over Rs and Trump in trying to keep govt open next year

Were these separate degrees from a MS or PhD?
November 22, 2025 at 12:48 AM
I do not remember 1994 as a particularly good economic year 🤷‍♀️
November 21, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Ahhh - apologies. I misread :)
November 21, 2025 at 7:52 PM
And how did that chat work out for you?
November 21, 2025 at 5:17 PM
Be that as it may - Trump won despite being a terrible president, unsuccessfully and illegally trying to mount an insurrection, and all the other horrible shit he’s done. Kamala prosecuting marijuana cases in the 90s is comparatively quaint!

I think you may overestimate the average American voter here. This might have been a discussion amongst Atlantic writers, BUT, I doubt the most voters remembered or even knew any of this. A majority of people voted for Trump despite living through his last presidency! Voters have short memories lol

Honestly I don’t think people in the US care much one way or another. The UK on the other hand - holy hell do they irrationally hate her. She gets far more hate than Prince Andrew - for … honestly I have no idea what she did to make them all so mad!

Why SAT and not ACT? SAT seems to ask more esoteric questions that measure how well one can guess Latin/greek word roots or solve logic problems. ACT is more show me you can math and read a graph.

Do these backgrounds cancel each other out to normality?

Like Kayak or even google search has done for 20 or so years?
