As far as I know, yes. But how could you possibly trust this administration to follow the law? So one side of any permitting deal is extremely reliant on future hopes, while the other side of said deal gets immediate support to put every shovel in the ground they can, right now

Also willing to accept, Giraffes Giraffes!, Mouse on the Keys, Mice Parade, and Bowerbirds.

So, animal collective?

Because the issue at hand that we need to address is bats attraction to wind turbines, which increases likelihood of being struck by the blades. Whether they’re attracted to other objects doesn’t particularly matter in this context.

It’s not clear, and the implication of bias is absurd. I’m a former bat biologist and current wind farm developer. I’ve worked on these issues for two decades, and want to see solutions and I want to see massive wind buildout.

If your issue is with Y-maze studies, you’re going against literally thousands of studies observing animal behavior.

Try reading the original study, I’m not sure what you’re talking about with a spike in a graph, they published the table of results and did the statistical analyses. There is noise in the data, but it’s not significant.
November 28, 2025 at 2:08 PM
It doesn’t look like you read the study. There were three sets of Y-maze tests including turbine blades painted black matte. Also, the researchers controlled for the 50% chance you mentioned by some basic statistical methods that distinguish between a response happening by pure chance, or bat choice

Hard disagree. The mechanisms behind why bats are attracted to wind turbines are still poorly understood, and field experiments are extraordinarily difficult. Any data points we have that can help to understand bat behavior is helpful for mitigating impacts from wind turbines.

Uh oh. Couple big solar farms nearby.

Everybody in that room is old enough to have had at least half a dozen colonoscopies, may need to up the ante.

Unfortunately the Supreme Court gave them all the tools they need to do it.

Nice! That’s a massive improvement over the old one.

Given the headline you’d think they were talking about Starbase.
