Pretty much my feelings too. I liked it enough to do a Hard mode run but it feels very cobbled together. Lovely environments (if a bit too linear) and satisfying to 100% but the desert and the whole green energy collection thing are terrible, and Sylux felt like such an afterthought

Retro Studios has just always been excellent at this kind of thing. Even getting Prime Remastered looking and running that good on the OG Switch is some form of wizardry

Even if the PS1 was the 'better' console that generation, I don't trust anyone that dislikes the N64
