Come back again and again to the claim that "defund the police" is a bad slogan, versus hundreds of thousands of people taking to the street in response to someone's death. Sometimes leadership might want to step up and change the slogan, if that's what's called for.

The disconnect between the national organization and the local chapters is so weird to watch. Local chapters are driving hard into stable political roles, and then there's the craziness at national level.
