Forgot to mention: we decided that Gerald the Porch Goose needed a derby name for the tournament this past weekend. Saturday, when he was NSO'ing, we dubbed him "Goose Willis." On Sunday, we decided to shout out to WFTDA policy and honor our trans/nonbinary pals by naming him "Gander Expansive." 🤣

Julie, AKA Nerdy Little Secret! Used to skate with Tucson, left during the pandemic (took up triathlon), currently an "unaffiliated" NSO/baby ref mostly working with Casa Grande. I've done a couple of tournaments this fall and GOSH how I've missed derby! 💖

I used to skate and officiate with Royal City, Kitchener LoCo and Tri City. Did a year as a HNSO and a year on a (shudder) BoD. Life forced me to take a break, break led to reevaluating priorities which turned into retirement. Still up for derby chats tho.
