I don’t repost my reviews here super often, but I’m afraid this book is going to fly under the radar and I can’t stand that. Cry by @mizalisa.bsky.social is one of the best YA books I’ve read this year, and maybe ever. Pitch-perfect in character and tone, and so extremely compelling. Don’t miss it!

Tomorrow morning, we have to help my 9 year old say goodbye to her babycat, who is only 4 and has suspected lymphoma. It happened very, very slowly, and then all at once, as these things do. I have no words for how proud I am of my child’s selflessness and moral clarity through utter heartbreak. 💔💗❤️🩹

I can’t remember the last time a book got far enough under my skin that I had to put it down because it was dark and I was alone, but it happened last night trying to finish @sgj.bsky.social’s latest. The Buffalo Hunter Hunter deserves a place alongside the classics. *shudder*

SB536 is a bill that raises *way* more questions than it should, creates impossible scenarios for rural libraries, and doesnt even try to solve any of Arkansas’s libraries’ ACTUAL problems. Big huge step backwards. Contacting reps is super fast and CAN WORK. www.arrighttoread.org/sb536_is_a_s...
