i do know a metaroom song which starts out very compressed and gets out turbo compressed by the drop, and then it goes full HD crystal clear and it's genuinely cathartic

(this is actually just a cheap excuse for me to not release flacs because i lost all my project files in an endless ocean of nonsensical project names and 20 different demos for the same song with minor differences in mixing)
