They seemed pretty chummy yesterday at the turkey pardon ceremony. Holding hands, and she actually forced a few smiles. I think he’s enforcing the contract because his poll numbers are in the crapper and needs to appear somewhat normal.

Just because they do get paid that much it doesn’t make it right. Are they really that skilled that they have to make 10+ times (or more) than a teacher, nurse, or grocery store manager? And the reality is they have many people under them doing great work for that lower rate too.

One year my brother tried to be all chefy and made green been casserole from scratch- fresh beans, mushrooms, and béchamel sauce. The only concession was the Tater Tots. It still sucked and most went into the garbage.

I’m comforted by the recent revelation that most on X are paid foreign trolls but we still have a crazy MAGA veteran population. Spend any time in a VFW or AmLegion bar and you’ll find more than one patron one that uses Kool Aid as a mixer.

I caught that and was appalled. I commented to my partner that nausea and vomiting is one of the classic signs of a concussion and the announcer being so blasé about it was just strange and wrong. Anyone that has taken a basic first aid course should know better.

Nah, definitely meds, or lack of usual meds. He’s been falling asleep in the middle of televised meetings lately. Today he spoke (relatively) coherently for an extended period. Besides a few jabs at Biden he stayed on topic during Q&A.

No, tattoos don’t bother me. My point is we need to recognize some of our base won’t vote for what they consider radical no matter how great that person is. Unfortunately we have other members of the party that won’t consider centrist Dems no matter how great they are. That’s how we lose.

Germany had zero tolerance for Nazism after the war. They took great pains trying to erase it from daily life and view. Did they totally succeed, no, but they’ve sustained normality in the years after. I doubt the US has the guts to make the same effort.
