That's quite a succinct description of the far left and far right supposed solutions- one blaming immigrants, the other blaming the super rich. Unfortunately with an economy spending £100+bn just on servicing national debt, populist ideas won't get us very far.

I agree cost of living is crucial. The economy is struggling, we need growth, Labour haven't helped themselves with that.
Unfortunately immigration is an issue for people. Ignoring it and blaming the Daily Mail won't change that. However figures will reduce this year which will be a win to sell.

They are reasons why you don't like his government, not why he's tanking in the polls.
Immigration is now the number 1 issue according to some polls, unfortunately Starmer can't ignore that.

This is a good description. It's a masterpiece, without being musically great or especially clever. I guess she's got an amazingly brutal story to tell and she manages to do it in a pitch perfect way.
