FIFA Boss: How do we get DT to stop being a nuisance?
Minion: Money?
B: Too obvious. What else does he really want?
M: Nobel Peace Prize.
B: Even we can't organise that. What could we give him? We only have sporting stuff.
M: We could make something up.
(pause)
Boss & Minion: THE FIFA PEACE PRIZE!

Trump was interfering with match venues, wanting to move games about to benefit 'red' states and punish 'blue' states. Infantino has shut Trump up and given the world a good laugh at Trump's expense. And Trump hasn't caught on and probably won't. Master stroke by FIFA, in my humble opinion...

High fives all round at FIFA HQ though, 'mission accomplished'.

He grabbed it and put it on before anyone else had a chance😳

I think FIFA have worked him out.🤣

I'd call it a brilliant play by FIFA. Trump will probably stop trying to interfere with where matches are played now that he's had his ego sufficiently stroked.

There's a bit of a clue that the sculpture was designed for Trump - the US is sitting on top of the globe, where the North Pole should be. Washington DC might be right on top, it's not clear.

The rest of the sculpture looks like rotting zombie hands tearing the rest of the world apart. Apt?

I noticed that FIFA also gave him a medallion to hang round his neck. I'm betting that he'll wear it everywhere.
Will the FIFA prize get his mind off the Nobel prize, or will it make him think he's even more deserving of it?

Inaugural, and possibly final - at least until FIFA encounters another interfering wannabe dictator who is known to respond very well to flattery.

A shitty brass sculpture and a bit of gold plating can go a long way in Trump's mind.

Victoria in the early '60s you couldn't get avocados - fruit fly or something like that. On a family holiday to Maroochydore QLD my mother made a point of buying an 'avocado pear' because I think she'd never had one before (neither had we kids but we'd never even heard of them).

Near Newcastle NSW, whenever someone started digging a hole or turning mulch over in the back yard, one or more butcherbirds would appear, hoping for a worm or a bug. A couple of them used to get so close I thought one was going to perch on my shoulder. Very bold birds.

When I was about 6 or 7 I saw a doughnut machine in a shop window, the type that squeezes a ring of dough into hot oil, moves it slowly through the trough of oil, flips it etc. I still can't walk past one of those things without stopping to watch. They have hardly changed, but I have...😢

Don't give Rupert/Lachlan any ideas...

Newscorpse got Trump elected twice, so anything's possible.

As I said in another post, if brains were dynamite they couldn't rustle up enough to blow Barnaby's hat off.

Not my usual source for words of political wisdom, but might one offer the current Opposition this observation by Bjelke-Petersen about running along a barbed wire fence with a foot on either side: ❝𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞.❞
