Today is #TransDayOfRemembrance. Trans people and their human rights are under attack around the globe. The Vagina Museum stands defiant against these attacks. We are a proudly trans inclusive space, even as discourse grows ever more toxic.

RIP to poster artist Drew Struzan.

An incomparable master of his craft, who created some of the most memorable images in film (before you even saw the movie!)

We're in the @guardian.com today, alongside Equity member Olivia Williams, calling for better protections for performers from artificial intelligence misuse.

Performers deserve nothing less than robust standards when it comes to AI and biometric data:

I am excelling myself in populating my timeline this week, a trend that won’t last. One podcast I find invaluable and entertaining is Pure Cinema from @newbeverly.bsky.social. It’s one audio delight I look forward to.

Enjoy.

Keep up the good work, guys.

Saddened to hear the death of Dickie Bird. At the hospital with a family member one time, and with nowhere to sit, Dickie gave up his seat without hesitation. He was a good man and a gentleman over the years, with a generous and kind spirit.

Lad from Tarn did good.

Are you?

Are you as loud offline as online?
Are you as brave and bold as you are staring into a screen, safe and sure,
- are you?
Are you as certain and resolved to the extent you stand up and act with no technology to shield you,
- are you?
Are you willing while you’re still free?
- are you? N

I don’t do newsletters that much (I barely do social media) but the few I do read, the number of which I can count on one hand, is DISPATCH thoughtfully crafted by @georgehahn.com

Theatre, from its first orator, remains an active mine allowing the passage of time to loiter with intent. A prompter and constant agitator on which free speech remains bravely, stubbornly and inclusively common to the senses of humanity. Resilient and precise, tame and unleashed but never silent.
