2030 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships confirmed for Durango, Colorado — host of inaugural MTB Worlds in 1990. Events held at Purgatory Resort. Durango will host a MTB World Cup event in 2029 as well. Three-time Olympian Todd Wells and Iron Horse director Gaige Sippy among organizing committee.

Pogacar attacking to go clear, waiting for McNulty to bridge across, pulling him to the line and then gifting him the victory is 100 times the flex of simply adding another win to his 2025 tally

It's the fucking guns. So tired of living in this Wild West gun culture.

There's a lot to feel shitty about lately, and yes, it was under unusual circumstances, but I'm going to choose to celebrate this moment: It was wonderful to see Egan Bernal's stage win at the Vuelta a España, his biggest result since his near-death, near-paralysis accident in January 2022. Campeón!

I'm sure this is already well-traveled territory in Australia, but it is remarkable how much SBS cycling commentator David McKenzie sounds like Bluey's dad Bandit. Just sayin. #LaVuelta2025

Did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

No better way to end this Tour de France than Wout van Aert dropping Tadej Pogacar on Côte de la Butte Montmartre and soloing to victory on Champs-Élysées. His 10th career Tour stage win, and first since 2022. He's had a lot of hard luck, injury, and oh-so-close results since then. #TourdeFrance

Soudal–Quick-Step: Merlier, Evenepoel, Paret-Peintre
UAE Team Emirates-XRG: Pogacar, Wellens

Right. Yeah, it's baffling. I suppose they hate people who look different than them more than they hate child rapists.

Listening to Geraint Thomas' TDF podcast, he says a lot of riders in peloton are worried that Pogacar will go so fast in tomorrow's uphill TT that they won't make the time cut. Stage 13 (Loudenvielle to Peyragudes) features an 8km climb; from what I can tell, time cut is ~33% of stage winner's time.

A few predictions after Stage 12 of #TourdeFrance:
• Healy will win another stage at this Tour, St15 or St20
• Lipowitz will stand on final podium in Paris
• Pogacar will break Cavendish's record of 35 stage wins (today was his 20th)

Quick thoughts on Stage 11 of #TourdeFrance
• Classy of Healy to have GC group wait for Pogacar
• Fantastic win by Abrahamsen
• Uno X takes stage, but also takes down defending champ
• Way more fun when MVDP races TDF for himself rather than as a lead-out man
• Pogacar handled crash like a champ

25 years ago today. My first time seeing Tour de France in person. Santiago Botero soloed to victory in Briançon to win Stage 14; Marco Pantani won Stage 15 from Briançon to Courchevel, 41sec ahead of José Maria Jiménez. Lance Armstrong was in command of the maillot jaune, well ahead of Jan Ullrich.

Here's the set list. Personal highlights were No Hard Feelings, Shame, The Weight of Lies, Head Full of Doubt, Living of Love, and the closer, If it’s the Beaches

Fantastic to see Ben Healy ride into maillot jaune, a scrappy, attacking rider who never gives up. A wonderful boost for his underdog EF Education–EasyPost team. Visma wins stage with S.Yates, but also throws everything at Pogacar to no effect. Evenepoel loses 6sec to Pogi and Jonas. #TourdeFrance

This photo. The rainbow jersey. The 100th career win. The yellow jersey behind him on one side, his biggest Tour de France rival on the other. Just perfection. #TourdeFrance

60 years ago today: On June 14, 1965, Paul McCartney stepped into a recording booth at Abbey Road Studios and recorded Yesterday, his first masterpiece. He was 22. One of the most covered songs in the history of recorded music, Yesterday was voted No. 1 pop song of all time by MTV and Rolling Stone.

Anyone savvy with cars that can tell me what this is? Hoping just from running AC, but it’s a lot of fluid.

This was the fatal flaw in Del Toro's thinking. Carapaz has already won the Giro. Whether he finished 2nd overall or 3rd overall made no difference to him. Del Toro lost much, much more than Carapaz today. #GirodItalia
