Well, if people didn't want this kind of legislation, they should've voted differently in November 2024. Republicans weren't exactly hiding that they were anti-nature. What did people think was going to happen with a GOP majority? Hopefully, there's enough resistance to slow down or kill this bill.

This administration will use that opposition as an excuse to reject this deal and get the Paramount/right-wing media control that it wants. These groups might want to include considering which devil is relatively less evil, along with whatever else they’re basing their complaints on.

To date, I haven’t heard of any other member of Congress, even the Dems, speaking out about the racist rants or backing her up. Shame on them. This is Jeffries’ idea of commenting about immigration: bsky.app/profile/atru...

The catnaps provided grist for the late night shows, but media outlets by and large gave it little or no coverage. They also made his racist rant about Somalis sound like some dry policy statement. Going by front pages, did either of the two events happen?
