Lighting changes everything in photography...& have a particular love for planning, seeking out & capturing backlit wildlife images...Kingfishers have proved more tricky to get like this as they're usually low down near water, surrounded by dense, dark foliage...

Most of these beautiful birds have started their 6000 mile migration to South Africa & Namibia for the autumn/winter, where obviously its not autumnwinter but in fact spring/summer...they'll travel up to 200 miles per day...can't wait to see them arrive back in April..
