TRUE! If it’s more than two weeks ahead, it’s not really happening. ADHDers tend to live in the here and now. I got a huge shock at the beginning of the month when I looked at my calendar and realised that I was largely at 100% capacity all the way to Christmas. /4

FALSE!! “I’ll just do one more dish” is the phrase I use to get through the washing up, or even my waking up routine (“I’ll just do my teeth”). I know I’ll do more but if I think about everything that I need to do, then I will be overwhelmed, so I just focus on the next thing. Speaking of which… /3

TRUE! With a heavy dose of irony. My clients will emit words. I will say “Is that true?”, and then they re-evaluate the whole sentence and go "No! It's not!" Just because our brain thinks a certain thought, doesn’t mean that it’s been through any rational filter. /2
