One other thing I also saw helps is thumbnails. My VODs with thumbnails tend to do better than VODs without them aside from a couple games. I’m not sure if you’re already doing that, but having eye-catching thumbnails helps a lot.

However, consistency is key. The more you push, the more the algorithm will favor you. So if you have a set schedule and stay consistent, what time you release them will not matter. The people who are engaging with the VODs and sticking around will click on them no matter what.

So, the unfortunate part is that there is no ‘ideal time’ for VODs because not one time will attract everyone. It depends on what audience you wish to attract. If you want more adults to watch, the best time is the evening. I set mine to go out 4:00 PM EST during the week.

Forgor to add this, but I actually really liked what they did with Angel this season. I was worried he’d be a static character after last season, but they didn’t! Also good job writers for writing a realistic depiction of abuse victims rebounding to their abusers because, YEAH, THAT HAPPENS!

I had issues with the writing the last season, but I feel like it worked better because it was more serialized and episodic. I don’t think Hazbin is suited for these BIG WORLD ALTERING PLOTS like it’s being set up as. The show thrives in the characters, and I hope we see more of that in S3.
