I understand the process of the rebuild and new staff, blah blah blah. But genuinely nothing this new regime can do will fix having flat out lack of talent. Even if these guys reach their ceiling, this team wins, what, maybe 75 games at absolute best.

This new Nationals’ regime is either the smartest thing a front office has built in some time or this will be a complete fucking dumpster fire. No in-between. Especially when it partially leans on ownerships commitment.

Lerner dodged a question about spending already. Toboni will certainly improve the overall product (not that that’s saying much), but it doesn’t matter. He will fail like everyone else in this organization because of putrid ownership. This franchise is fucked without proper ownership.
