The portraits were all 'wrong' or destroyed, and the use of memory imaging magic was all null because by then they only show as blurred, muffled figures in his memories and in his dreams.

Drawn above is what he sees now, not usually in black and white, but its more often than not just like this.

Nathair, his wife, and his son were all Serpentines, snakelike people that lived in the desert area of their country, once home to the kingdom. Serpentines were all rare, from their hair colour to their scales.

To this day he never found someone who can accurately replicate his family's faces.

Through this he now knowz what his wife wouldve looked in her favorite dresses, knows the many different toys his son wouldve played with... he knew almost everything, their voices were long lost, those he would never hear again but... their faces were a different tale

Most historians dont cover the Queen and the Crowned Prince of Prazamore. But there is info, and he knows where to look.

But hes forgotten the colour of his wife's eyes, and the sound of his son's laughter. Its breaking him, slowly, forgetting his family was the very thing he feared so... he tried searching.

Nathair's memories fail him now, as an immortal theres only so much he can retain.

Sure he remembers how his heart beats when his beloved simply looked at him, how his lips curl into a smile when his son speaks.

Its been a millenia since those days. All that remained were what historians could gather after the Fall of Prazamore, due an ambush collaborated by a city wishing to invade the rest of the country but Prazamore was their last target.

Because of the war there is little history left to be found.

He was a bouncing baby boy, he was given the best education money can buy, and of course his mother and his father taught him well despite their busy schedules. The soldiers and generals loved playing and sparring with the little prince.

It was an arranged marriage, naturally but Nathair was not one to force his wife to do anything she didn't, through her he found the softer parts of himself, the parts that hid away once he became king. Through her did he rule all the better.

The crowned prince was concieved almost 5 years after.

Nathair was once the king of Prazamore, a proud king. he ruled his kingdom with a critical mind and an iron fist, he expanded his lands far and wide.

But He was also a father, a husband, and despite what most people want you to believe he was the best goddamn father and the best husband to his wife
