Utah State Senator, District 13 - Millcreek, Sugar House, SSL, Murray, WVC. Huge pain in the ass for Republicans everywhere. nateforutah.com
I spent time running with inmates at the prison today then headed up to the U to talk with students about guns on campus. What I heard from students and staff was unanimously that the lack of regulation, including guns stored in dorms, make people feel uncomfortable and unsafe.

The confirmation of a new justice to Utah's Supreme Court sets a precedent for future judges that those with aspirations to the bench must seek out high profile, controversial issues & side politically with the supermajority if they want a seat. I voted no.

Grateful for the folks at Crossroads Urban Center and a strong group of community and faith leaders who are leading the charge for reasonable approaches to helping the homeless. The proposed large shelter is a bandaid on a bigger problem that starts with a roof over everyone's head.

Spent a couple hours this AM talking to students at Eisenhower Junior High in Taylorsville! Mr. Roach invites elected officials to talk to his students every semester about what we do in our position & how important it is to be an informed citizen. Looking forward to next time.

It's not often that I get coerced into singing, but I couldn't pass up the chance to join Utah Health Workers United's labor chorus yesterday for a couple tunes! Appreciate opportunities to strengthen relationships with folks working to build collective power on behalf of a broad range of Utahns.

Great to get out in Liberty Wells with Erika Carlsen for SLC D5 this morning. First voter opened the door and exclaimed "you're Sen. Nate Blouin" 😊

Lots of folks asking about redistricting and what's going to happen over the next few weeks!👇👇👇

Donald Trump has now taken aim at Utah, echoing the rhetoric used by many in the legislature as they lob allegations around about the judiciary appointed & confirmed by the GOP. UT has a chance to prove we're better than this, but it will take a concerted effort by the people!

Appreciate the great coverage of this important issue.

The people of Utah win today.

If we're going to claim to be "all of the above," let's actually talk about that means rather than whatever lobbyists want to pay for. What we're doing certainly doesn't feel like "all of the above."

Very happy to see @slcmayor.bsky.social calling for the state to do more to address homelessness. We need to get people from shelters into housing with services on a regional basis and not expect SLC, SSL and a select few others to perpetually do what others will not.

Head over to Twitter and let Sen. Curtis know how disappointed you are that he's fully bowed down to Trump after just a few pitiful months.

Begging folks in Utah to get your ballots to a drop box or vote in person ASAP (today!). Turnout is frankly miserable, fighting MAGA takeovers of our cities starts right here.

Why are Republicans so eager to trade liberty for an unrealistic sense of security that involves posting uniformed law enforcement seemingly on every street corner? What happened to being angry about taking off your shoes for airport security?

The abuse of power and blurring of legislative and executive branch functions here should concern us all.

I have had more than enough with politicians using their positions of power to influence policy and law in ways that benefits their inner circle rather than our constituents as a whole. It's time for accountability.

Here at the Massachusetts state house with legislators from around the country including a delegation from Texas to say hello no to mid decade, Trump-ordered gerrymandering. This is not democracy.

Hero @govpritzker.illinois.gov in the house!

it is insane that we're watching utilities invest over $1t in infrastructure largely to support large corporate data centers while families' electricity bills go up rather than slow down and look at the opportunities for flexibility that could save many billions.
