Remembrance Day is deeply personal for me. My grandfather served as a Flight Lieutenant in WW2 in the Royal Canadian Airforce and flew patrols off the coast of Newfoundland protecting ships from attack.
Later in the War, he trained pilots in the Commonwealth Training Plan in Southern Alberta 1/

Yesterday was the big day - I was sworn in as Ward 8 City Councillor along with my Councillor colleagues and Mayor Farkas.
This is a huge opportunity and responsibility to serve Ward 8 and all Calgarians - a position I received because of you, which I will remember every day.

Though the election dust is still settling, we are off. Finished my orientation today at City Hall. More excited than ever to do this.

Ward 8 - Monday is a big day for the future of Calgary.

This is my wife Katrina.

But she is a quiet force of nature.

Finding common ground in politics is hard.

Running for Council is important. But it is chaos. This moment reminds me why I’m doing this: for my daughter and for everyone trying to make ends meet.
People are struggling - affordability, school strikes, you name it.
We need strong, independent leaders to fight for our Ward and City 1/

Campaigning is all about listening and after more than 6 months, I've learned the people of Ward 8 than I ever thought possible.

Grateful to receive the endorsement of two-term Ward 8 Councillor Evan Woolley.
He was a strong voice for Ward 8 and brought positive change to our City.
