Yeah it’s been a joke, they need to take a step back and revaluate what actually gives teams an unfair advantage. Pretty sure isles player pinning a goalie’s had a much bigger impact on the play then when Drury was 1mm offside or Nuke “scaring” the Utah player back into his own zone.

Same, seems like the kind of season where every point matters even with the Avs so far ahead but losing Wedgewood for any amount of time would suck and most likely have a negative impact of Blackwood as well

2001 cup team was probably comparable at 3.29 due to the defense heavy era they played in but this years team has the same wagon vibe as the 01’ & 22’ cup teams.

The hockey crazed fans of Minnesota lost their original team to Dallas in the 90’s and were rewarded with a team that’s destined to be mediocre for all eternity. The Avs original mascot howler the yeti was sent to the nether region after fighting fans and was relaxed by Bernie a few years later

Yeah that won set the Avs back, they wanted Morris so bad and his play just dropped off once he was an Av.

Attendance was 18,080 which is over capacity for Ball arena (18,007). Real question is do you not understand math or just need to get your eyes checked? Plus there’s always more away team fans for teams that only play the Avs once a year.

Yeah they definitely underestimated how popular it would be. For all the people complaining online I didn’t hear a peep about it at the game and a lot of the Avs players seemed to enjoy it too since a lot of wives are big fans.

Oh the presale was absolute garbage, it was through spinzo which just kept crashing for most until all the jersey packages were sold out. Kinda a bummer and missed opportunity they didn’t have more for sale at the game, only thing they had were the books.

4th wing night was actually pretty cool. Only downside was when Buffalo scored after the new fans started doing the wave which then prompted the Avs social media team to tell them to stop the wave lol.

But they’ve had 3 days breaks before each of the last back to back games (counting this upcoming one). I get that building availability comes into play but having these bigger breaks before back to back games just makes for a worse product all around.

Was mostly joking over the fact that Roy hated small puck moving defensemen. Yes Roy pushed for Mackinnon (mostly because he could play right away as opposed to upside) but also quit because Sakic signed Barrie to an extension that Roy disagreed with.
