Found some motivation to work on my game again. Over the last few days I've done a full pass over the non-combat menus; reworking, tweaking, and fixing up a whole buncha stuff.

This one is a bit out of left field but it was my first exposure with the RTS genre and I absolutely adore it. I recently discovered that someone ported it to play in-browser and played the whole thing over a weekend. Definitely lacking some QoL that modern RTS games have, but plenty of soul.

I don't think a ton of people have heard of this one but it is a delight. Stuffed to the hills with details, secrets, beautiful music and art, challenging gameplay and vivid exploration. It almost offended me when a game of this quality didn't catch on, to be honest.

This one is actually pretty rough around the edges if you try playing it today. Lots of lore around its tortured development cycle. But it is still the best reason to own a multitap on the SNES.

I'm making a game called The Looming Spire, where you explore a big tower full of monsters. Here's a clip of how the battle system works. #theloomingspire#rpgmaker#gamedev
