Having done my postdoc at CSHL I completely concur with this assessment. He would not hesitate to share his views with anyone within earshot. And the level of watson-worship over there was bizarre.

There’s a paper from 2001 that I read with my intro neurobiology class. Not because it is an earth shattering discovery, or even a classic paper, but because it is flawlessly written, with incredible experimental design, and a model of how all studies should be done and written
