I thought this might be a joke, but then I went and looked this game up and this actually looks pretty cool. And is cheap. And I might actually pick this up.

I think you may have misunderstood almost all of what I was saying a little bit.

We still call some games metroidvanias. Other games are roguelikes. Others still are roguelites. 4X is a shorthand that saves you zero time, because you almost always still have to explain it to someone.

JRPGs as a shorthand for Japanese-style role playing games is goofy, but people get it.

Yeah, JRPG is just a shorthand that's used to convey what type of games a game is similar to. It's not even the dumbest of those that we have.

If I rolled my eyes any further back than I did after reading this, I'd probably go blind.

And I just want to be clear, I think this stuff with Arc Raiders is gross and will not be playing the game, so this isn't being said in defense of that.

Using something like Microsoft Sam or even no voices in your game isn't the same thing and is more of an artistic choice.

It's not even remotely like that.

The problem isn't that a voice actor hasn't been hired. The problem is that they're hiring people and archiving their voices so they can give them less work and pay them less.

I feel like maybe I'm just too stupid to understand what is being said here, because re-reading it ain't workin' out.
