Read our statement in response to Sheriff Danny Ceisler’s Announcement-

"Ending 287(g) is a necessary step—but it is not sufficient on its own. Public safety is built on trust, dignity, and equal protection under the law, not on policies that place entire communities under suspicion." - Pres. King

Our communities are still at risk.
We stood united with our partners and community, raising our voices against 287(g) and the deputizing of our Sheriff’s Office to coordinate and act alongside ICE in our county. We showed up because silence is not an option when our communities are at risk.

Recent remarks labeling the NAACP Bucks County and our partners as “radical” or “violent” are false and ignore our century-long legacy of peaceful, principled advocacy that has strengthened American democracy. Read our full statement.

BIG NEWS: ACLU-PA has filed a lawsuit against the Bucks County Sheriff for unlawfully collaborating with ICE through the 287(g) agreement — and we’re proud to stand as a litigant in this case.

We’re standing up for justice — and we’re not backing down.

We stand in strong opposition to the 287(g) agreement — a policy that endangers immigrant communities & fuels racial profiling. It turns local law enforcement into an extension of ICE, eroding trust and safety. Let’s protect our neighbors, not criminalize them. #Stop287g #SolidarityNotSurveillance
