went to sentosa beaches, wanted to stay but we had to take the plane :(

day 4 garden by the bay, cloud forest, and flower dome. very pretty I recommend!!

if you can, the best is to rent a car and visit smaller cities around Tokyo. If you like nature, onsen and hiking I recommend Nikko, which is a touristy area too but way less crowded and very peaceful. I also visited Enoshima, Kamakura and Hakone which are all close by and you can access it by train

yeah I think Kyoto has a lot to offer but it suffers from overtourism. For example the bamboo forest is super pretty but it's impossible to walk around and enjoy the view. Same for Fushimi Inari. It made it a super anxious experience for me, and I didn't want to stay too long there so I missed a lot

everything is so far apart in Kyoto, and although it is incredibly beautiful and full of history, I feel like the amount of tourists makes it unbearable and not worth visiting.
The rest of Japan is probably as beautiful as Kyoto, but has maybe 90% less tourists, which makes it more enjoyable imo
