Added a horse.

I really like the horse designs in #Asterix, but I failed with the head. I'll figure it out one day. I only now realized that the animation looks horrid when the speed is between a walk and a trot.

Reworking and testing the first temple is taking a very long time. I'm trying my best to not make the four normal tracks too similar - otherwise I would have left this one out because of how much work it is. I hope it'll be a fun track. #Amphibia

Editing the temple for the Amphibia game is taking an awful lot of time, so here's a feature I added to the #Asterix game a couple of months ago - Asterix losing feathers when losing health. Animations will also change, but I won't work on that until late in development.

Need to switch between projects every now and then to keep the burnout away. This little #Asterix project is an extremely early prototype, and I only work on it when I need a break from the Amphibia game.

I might have been a little bit ambitious with the competition. Especially when I'm making it game ready with low and "high" poly versions at the same time. But even if I don't make it in time for the competition, I do need this for the game. #Amphibia

After testing Unity 6 for a while, I finally upgraded this project to the latest version. The older version has had some really troublesome bugs for years that significantly increased the time I spent doing anything other than programming. Now they're no more! #Amphibia

I spent so many months just modelling that I was forgetting how to program. So I've mostly been programming the last month. Learned lots of new stuff! I won't rewrite all the Amphibia Racing code, but I can finally fix a troublesome bug. Made this little Asterix thing for practice.

Trying out other people's character controllers when your characters have wild proportions is always interesting. Anne and Leif have had better days.

It was sad to let go of the old character selection screen, but it was getting too difficult to keep user friendly. (I should probably post some old images here soon.)

Figuring out how to decorate the hub, but an issue I've been having is how tiny the houses look while riding.

I try to keep the areas as close to the show as possible, but I have to make lots of changes to make it playable in a racing game. #Amphibia #gamedev

I was completely stuck for months trying to stitch the maps together, so I redesigned almost everything in a couple of weeks. The first world (with 4 normal tracks, 1 boss track, and 1 battle stage) is progressing really well. #Amphibia

I spent several weeks making my #Amphibia character models ready for download (minus rigs). Then found out I need to read the fine prints in various licenses to stop Disney from using them commercially without paying me. I'll get back to it one day, but now I have no motivation. Back to the game.

I never cared for trophy races, so one of the first features I worked on was a race where you go through each track in an area in any order (you can do parts of one track, move over to an other track, then get back later). That means leveldesign is gonna be hell though. #amphibia #gamedev

Finally starting to get the minimap working again. I was kinda shanghaied into a band, and I suddenly got obsessed with Don't Starve, so I haven't worked as much on the game as I used to. #amphibia

Today is two years since I started working on #Amphibia Racing! It wasn't supposed to get any further than the first image since I knew how much work #gamedev is, but it just kept evolving. I wanted to get a demo done last year, but a big change in what needed to be tested put a delay to that.

Wasn't going to make Joe until next year so I could concentrate on the tracks and coding. But I just couldn't help myself. The model's still pretty rough though, and the texture is the bare minimum, and the rig needs to be redone. #Amphibia
