Adtech-ing into the void.
Doesn't this basically mean two dead from flooding?

Might as well rewrite the headline to blame the deaths on energy from the sun which drives the Earth's weather.

But it's 3P cookie deprecation that's killing news.

(I know I'm being obnoxious but that's a shit headline; a complete joke)

I bet you in their reporting it says that this unit served into a 728x90 placement.

(Because someone bought the 300x250 impression and then resold it and iframed a 728x90 placement into it...I mean it *is* technically a 728x90 placement! No fraud!)

Just turned on my new Raspberry Pi 500 for the first time! Anyone ever advice for getting started and/or any tutorial recs?

I’m hoping to teach myself some Python so I can build/run some programs using LLMs, but have zero experience…Advice welcome!

Did a little urban exploration with the kids this morning. There is an abandoned narrow gauge railroad in forest park (used to be a zoo ride). We walked quite a bit of it and found two working railroad switches!

Beautiful morning for a fun adventure.

Congrats to the team at Sincera on the acquisition by TTD. I've always admired their exceptional metadata. The potential to merge Sincera’s rich supply-side data with TTDs massive buy-side data is truly exciting. This integration could fill a critical gap in reporting and analysis for publishers.

For 2025, I’m doing Control Panel Saturday! On Saturdays, I’ll post a retro sci-fi illustration of a control panel.

Here’s a great 1982 illustration, used for Atari’s Star Raiders 2600, although the artist seems to be uncredited.

Another season, another art class. This is an ink and watercolor class. First class was just practicing line work, watercolor. Plus I made some colored pencil swatches as a doodle.

Gladiator 2 was time well spent and a perfectly fine movie, but:

- Mescal and Pascal were both miscast
- Washington's character didn't get evil enough; he played it too cool/aloof for too long
- there were several scenes missing which would have better established key parts of the story arc
