Well that frustrating, I didn’t see the Ulrome Greenish Warbler despite two attempts. 20+ Chiffchaff and 2 Lesser Whitethroat were small compensation. Love that as a patch.

Dipped the Common Cranes this am at The Outstrays NR but I did flush a Sort Eared Owl! Saw the later having a dance!

Had a day out into Lincs yesterday. No show by the Savi’s at a windy Rimac, but an excellent Frampton RSPB as usual, with Collared Pratincole and several summer Spotted Redshanks taking centre stage! @ochrurosbirder.bsky.social

A good day, started off at Slimbridge to see the summering Bluethroat (White-spotted). The back to Stafford to unblock a Woodchat Shrike! A good day.

Live birding webcams are such fun and addictive! The camera qualities are very good nowadays, UK’s are fairly poor still, maybe because of the lack of quality! Northern Mockingbird just one of the stars this evening! #livewebcams

I don’t get this @staffswildlife.bsky.social at your Tucklesholme reserve! An area of scrub including bramble which is good for Whitethroat, Sedge and in recent yrs Grasshopper Warbler mown flat! Is there any purpose for this?

Lovely little trip into Wales today! Black and Red Grouse, Brambling, Siskin’s, 2 Willow Tit and several Crossbills! Also a glimpse of a large Accipiter that must have been a Gos!
