When you can’t just post about Arsenal all day on main
Villa are a weird team. The run they're on reminds me of our best run under Emery. Impressive on paper, flashing red lights from a stats perspective.

I can remember two better Arsenal league starts in recent history - 2022-2023 and 2007-2008. But in both cases, we had basically everything going right, far fewer injuries, and arguably much more menacing competition. This start inspires more confidence.

Declan Rice says Declan Rice will be fit for Villa. But is Declan Rice a reliable source on Declan Rice?

No matter how nervous I get, we remain comfortingly boring and effective
Brentford made that really hard work in the second half with a very intense press, but we also had chances to score a second before we did, and they didn't really threaten in any significant way.

Goal + assist for Merino, Saka on the scoresheet, 3 points and a clean sheet again.

Solid work.

lol, wrong
Brentford resting a bunch of players too. Feels like it’s an Eze game. Worried that pacey dribblers plus Merino doesn’t do it against a low block.

Chelsea and Liverpool dropping points is great news. But where did Villa come from. Seems like a new (fake) challenger pops up each week

Even Bukayo can’t stop Saka scoring

In a new era of long throws only Kayode has true Rory Delap power and trajectory.

Also putting them on in the middle of my work day is just rude

I hate these sort of games

Really relying on Odegaard for creativity tonight. Hope they’re not underestimating Brentford.

Newcastle dropping points to a relegation threatened team is fine by me.

Arsenal‘s next ten fixtures look like a real opportunity to accumulate points. But last season we won only three of the equivalent fixtures.

Mou On 5-4s: "That was a hockey score, not a football score. I did not see the game but I have to say that the defenders were a disgrace.”

*Cough*
Manchester City scoring freely against Fulham is not a surprise. but they still look really open defensively. it’s not clear to me if they’re building a team capable of winning enough games to win the league. But wracking up the points and the goals certainly helps.

We beat City 5-1 last season and still finished miles off the pace. Don’t panic #Arsenal

All these games are a bit depressing

Brentford and Villa aren’t bad teams you know. Every week feels like a big week at the moment.

Arsenal are still good and I think we’re going to win the league

How we integrate the rest of our squad will have a big impact on the week and the season. There’s a weird phenomenon where a team often does worse immediately after an injury crisis. The next two games are big (they all are). #Arsenal

That’s annoying. But it’s a sign of how far we’ve come that we’re pissed at a point away to Chelsea. #Arsenal
