In solar eclipses, the moon blocks most of sun's light and thus encasing it behind the moon. It reminded me of how John is trapped inside of Arthur's mind. John cannot speak to anyone but him. He is an entity that has Arthur's eyes

John doe my sun!!! I think he best fits the sun description. The sun is the brightest object in our sky. It's also yellow so that's a bonus. Aaaand! The sun shares its light to the moon so it can see ♥️

As you can notice he is brimming with moon motifs. Arthur is the moon and John is the sun. The moon relies on the sun's light so that we can see it. This relates to Arthur because he needed John's eyes to guide him in the darkness !!
