Finished a Call of Cthulhu campaign recently that had started off in a way that reminded me of VIBES.
Between the cast, the effects, and the fashion, the movie looks very much like its era (1988).
I think Cyndi Lauper has a different outfit in almost every scene. There’s so much pink lol!

Of course, I had to mention William Gibson's concept and description of cyberspace from the 80s. It influenced a lot of early infosec attitudes and practitioners. Cyberpunk was always a mix of politics and aesthetics.
