Underrated: AI that knows when to forget, not just remember. That's why we've updated Copilot memory to follow directions for both - and you can check + edit its memories any time under settings > manage memory. Live now in Windows, web + mobile.

You can generate and take personalized Quizzes right in chat. Get as specific as you want + even tell it "don't forget to ask me about XYZ." After it's scored, you can go back + see explanations for any q's you missed. Then you can prompt Copilot to make the next one easier or harder.

Study and learn mode will help you learn the answer, step by step, asking questions to test understanding before moving on. Something just not clicking? You can ask for different explanations or angles as many times as you need

Just getting answers is easy. Understanding them? That's harder. That's why I'm excited Study and learn mode + Quizzes are live now in Copilot, giving every student a tutor in their pocket 🧵

You can now talk to a Copilot Portrait in real-time! We’ve heard from some users that they'd feel more comfortable talking to a face when using voice. So in the US, UK + Canada, we’re rolling out a new Copilot Labs experiment where you can talk with animated portraits.

Not sure how many people would have taken the bet 2 years ago that by now frontier models would be over 90% cheaper but 2.7x better. Today it's simple fact. The tech gains are cool, but it's the leap forward in access that makes it meaningful. (graph: @emollick.bsky.social)

If you've ever…
Spent longer finding a movie than watching it.
Avoided continuing a show because you forgot what happened.
Tried to find something to watch for 3 people with polar opposite tastes.
Good news.

What I call Seemingly Conscious AI has been keeping me up at night - so let's talk about it. What it is, why I'm worried, why it matters, and why thinking about this can lead to a better vision for AI. One thing is clear: doing nothing isn't an option. 1/

No topic too niche or nerdy - Copilot can turn it into a podcast. Just type in "make me a podcast about XYZ" and within a couple minutes you'll have a custom episode, with two hosts diving into your latest obsession. (Mine is consciousness, but choose your own adventure)

We moved Copilot to the upper left, with a chat drop-down that won't block what you're looking at on the page. Super helpful for stuff like finding the right info in a dense how-to blog, convert recipe measurements, or looking up a reference you don't recognize in an article.

A super simple homepage that's smart enough to understand if you're typing a url, a search term, or starting a chat with Copilot. It's a single entry point to get started with whatever you're doing.

Tech for tech’s sake is pointless. It’s all about what tech that makes you feel. How it makes our users feel. For Noel, the feeling Copilot gave him was freedom.

Stories like these are why I'm so passionate about building AI. It's not the advances or the benchmarks, it's the human impact.
