When I called my rep the response was “of course” he would be voting against these bills so I wonder why they couldn’t say? Disappointing.

Voting “present” instead of “yes” on impeachment is doormat behavior that does not meet the moment.

Sure there is an element of media narrativizing but there are also real degrees of difference in negative reaction to a particular administration/ government & at some point a “wave” can be an accurate way to describe something outside the norm. This seems like it could be such a time but we’ll see.

Rarely sung by whom? In the churches I’ve been in my whole life it was always sung. Particularly significant since I grew up in the U.S. South, I think.

Someone early in the thread clarified they were specifically talking about sexual abuse when they said “abuse” in the context of this discussion.
