Good morning everyone. This is Mark Watson. I was in the fifth series of Taskmaster and I successfully kicked a yoghurt at a wall in a tiebreaker. Once the podcast starts, I will be posting 'as' the narrator, Hugh Flounder. I will also be lurking here sometimes. A word on how Murder Of A Famous Bastard will (I hope) work. It isn't a 'vote on what to do next' situation like The Company, which some of you kindly participated in. This server should be seen as an accompaniment to the podcast. All the same, it is crucial to the way the show will go. The first couple of episodes are already written and made, to get everyone into the story and some of the characters (including the murderer, whom you will have met in the first six episodes; better not be more specific than that). After that first couple of episodes, the writing and recording will start to be influenced by the speculations of the 'general public' here, in much the same way it is impossible for an investigator in the 21st century not to be aware of what people are saying online. The solution to the case will not change, but how and whether we get there can change. This is not entirely a traditional 'locked room' murder because it takes place at a party with 60 guests and I, the detective, have various huge disadvantages when it comes to solving it - as will become apparent. But there will be important clues right from the beginning of the first instalment on November 30, and some of those we might reflect on here. This will be fun, I think. That's the idea. But also: <scary voice> MURDER.

A bit more on this podcast and how it is meant to operate. This is kind of a new idea (I think) so it might not work. It might, though. I think you'll like the story, regardless.
