Working on title screen with added attract screen.

Ironically, optimizing the title cart as it bloated into being larger than main game. It still needs a lot code to display the tutorial/attract screen, though not the second player/win screen. Hmm, third cart the charm?

Working on the tutorial with an automated walkthrough.

Seemed to be getting basics across at last play-test though clunkily. So cutting down to focus on just the essentials!

Testing if can support widescreen.

Seem to be keeping silky smooth 30fps after:
1. Simplifying a costly palette function call for each book to a poke
2. Caching the shelf labels.
3. Making book sprites draw less blank space

So uh, widescreen co-op seems to be a go. woot

Added a checkout stamp to catalog cards, a concession to avoid walking all the way over just to find an empty gap where a book should be!

Also polished up the animation so you can now flip to your heart's content.

Worked on an info screen today with a catalog card for target book and see the cover of currently carried book.

Also added a friendly skeleton patron since a drop-off box seemed a bit impersonal!

Started on a raycast game for #lowrezjam over weekend.

Got a special rendering system working. Shelf sprites are generated on the fly in unused space, so each is unique.

Started making the basic retrieval task system, moving towards a tiny library sim.

Fixed up the modding system so it can detach stuff and works with rotation correctly.

Now you can add a billion attachments to a pistol and turn into an oversized behemoth.

Added a quick reload system. Might keep some of the process manual though.

Art break: added unloaded weapon sprites, liking the extra mechanical detail each adds.

Had a bad idea: weapons also have an inventory for ammo. Inventories all the way down!

Bug of the day: can fire empty casings as well. Use the whole bullet!

Does open up to non ejecting guns like break action shotguns.
