Tomino is a bit of a sexist jackoff but theres a reason why he was able to launch a multi-million dollar franchise through 5 series in a row that are still considered good! Tomino knows how to create dramatic stakes in interesting worlds with characters that you actually wanna see engage in that.

Its fascinating because i bounced off nearly every single character in the game aside from Laezael. Idk why but they all felt too tropey and evil for me which made them boring instead of interesting plot hooks. WoTR meanwhile has a couple of issues but its use of companions was more interesting

Maybe looking up books or lectures on the "indian war" might help. The plains native americans were mentioned more often in this discussion with the east coast being a bit of an afterthought iirc.

I think its notable that its cultural because native americans of the East Coast of the US and plains did not engage in acts of rape or sexual humiliation in their warfare, which was notable to their european contemporaries. I do not know enough about any other culture to say how unique that was

God, i think its because weve been raised in an age where we are more shameful about acts of male homosexuality but being proud of raping a guy (or girl but not relevant to this specific discussipn) used to be a thing and i doubt the culture has changed enough to stop that type of behaviour

The rejection of the call sucks ass as a trope. If your characters arent excited or at least intrigued by being picked up by a wizard for some unknowable purpose that you always knew you wanted. Even if its just like a sex tf thing, then what are you doing.

as far as im aware they do not. If you open up netflix or go to a blu-ray you will see that season 1 is especially blurry and it gets slightly less blurry as it goes on. Often an issue with (some) nickelodeon shows but not noticed much aside from in this case because ATL still has some relevancy
