DIED FOR *NOTHING*

Check his writing credits instead. He’s been doing english script adaptation for a few projects, notably Gundam SEED Freedom and Gundam GQuuuuuuX’s dubs.

At a point I think I just got numb to “people dying to make Lelouch sad” lmao.
December 9, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Honestly yeah that would be super interesting.
December 9, 2025 at 8:12 PM
Yeah there was definitely potential for Euphie, but it’s at least a major turning point the entire plot pivots around.

Like I’ll be honest, Rolo’s death serves a similar purpose for Lelouch, probably better, if it wasn’t undercut by. Well. Shirley. Kinda always felt it hurts more than it helps.

There COULD have been a lot of potential in letting her survive, because I don’t feel her death (unlike Euphie) is essential for what goes down in any way and just kinda felt like them desperate to raise the stakes in an inflated way.

- by skipping town.

Both have severe problems, but the one where she dies at least she’s an actual character.
December 9, 2025 at 4:27 PM
I don’t particularly like how the show handled her death, it’s always been my biggest bugbear with R2.

On the other hand, in the movies she gets ghosted by Lulu the entire time, has no development or involvement, and dodges her death (which wouldnt even happen because she doesn’t matter now) -

This is a double edged sword also because any time there’s anything I remotely like, it’s

“Ah wait that’s movie continuity, nvm.”

I hate the movies so much, they do one thing I like and do it the worst way possible, on top of handling everything else worse. (Poor Kallen.)

That’s an awful late time slot for that second run. Was… was Doug popular among Japanese adults?
December 9, 2025 at 11:42 AM
Honestly I’ve always felt this way and it’s honestly one of the things that’s kept me from getting super invested in any Prime thing narratively. Always sitting in this weird interquel territory.

This isn’t the first time in the last few months where I’ve seen a game that runs fine on the Deck but has problems on console.
December 8, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Oh yeah, but then so did everything else so I kind of just accept lost time there for anyone. *Considering* the COVID delays it still seemed to have just a normal dev cycle compared to a LOT of things. Coupled with that studio’s ability to do a lot with a little, its budget makes sense.
December 8, 2025 at 9:49 PM
From everything I’ve ever seen, 16’s active development went smoothly for however the reception was.

Forspoken, on the other hand, you look at this and go “oh that’s why Luminous was shut down.”

WBG and things like NRS aren’t even mentioned in the buyout. That’s deeply concerning!
December 7, 2025 at 1:19 AM
It DOES suck.

I just feel like if you’re saying this, whats the step after that?
December 7, 2025 at 1:18 AM
And to be clear:

I’m not saying this doesn’t suck or isn’t awful.

I’m also looking like. Realistic. If you block this, it’s either going to fold in on itself (and hurt even more people) or go to someone else anyway (who’ll have clear sailing through regulations, and also hurt more people.)

Is anyone who founded that even there anymore, pretty sure it’s been awhile since Funimation’s c-suite moved in.
