Because losing a quarter of all your users every 6 months is drastically different than failing to keep 25% of new users and then retaining the rest (potentially indefinitely). These are two entirely different stories.

Just to preface, this isn’t me defending AI, moreso me criticizing lazy discussion.

Churn is how users leave a system in the long term, quite literally how they are churned through during the lifetime of usage. If you see here, there’s an asymptote so this isn’t that, this is adoption attrition.
