He was part of the greatest defensive draft class in NFL history in ‘81. In a class that included Lawrence Taylor, Howie Long, Ronnie Lott, Mike Singletary and Rickey Jackson, Kenny Easley was as good as any of them.

He was the player rep during the ‘87 strike. After the season, he was traded to the Cardinals only to have the trade rescinded due to his kidneys. Awful how he was treated then. I’m glad he got more respect later in life and was elected to HOF though much later than he should’ve.

I first read it as a future tense instead of a past tense and being bored at work, replied changing one word. I hardly ever reply and perhaps it’s better that I don’t attempt to do so. My apologies.

If THIS generation were transported forward to America in the late 30’s…pretty sure no one would be christening it ‘the greatest’
